Our upcoming book: The Bonneville Salt Flats: Two Decades of Photography by Peter Vincent, is nearing completion.
If you’ve been waiting to preorder your copy, don’t wait any longer. If you order before or on May 15, we can still get your name into the book’s acknowledgments page as a supporter of this remarkable book.
You won’t be sorry–this hardcover book has expanded to 272 pages but our preorder price has not changed. It’s $75 including US shipping for the standard version, or $250 for a limited-edition slipcased version that includes a limited edition print produced by Peter himself–which by itself is worth the price.
Go to the product page today and select which version you want. Do it today!
We are out of #Maximum Attack–thank you to all of you who purchased copies! Please check with Speedhunters.com; Autobooks in Burbank and Pasteiner’s Auto Zone in Michigan will have a limited supply soon!
I hope you purchased your copy of the Speedhunters Yearbook already, as they are now all sold out! These were limited-edition, hand-numbered copies, so it will never be reprinted!
On the bright side, stay tuned to Speedhunters and Stance & Speed for information on more collaborations in the near future!

If you happened to have been in Utah in August during Speedweek, you may have seen a bearded man in a hat, jeans, and boots, taking pictures at every possible opportunity. That man is Peter Vincent; he’s been traveling to the Bonneville Salt Flats on photographic missions for more than 20 years.
If you did bump into Peter, he might have handed you a postcard (looking a lot like the image at the top of this post) advertising the upcoming book that we are publishing. The back side of that postcard shows a mockup of the book’s cover, as well as the slipcased limited edition version.
Peter is flying out to Minnesota next weekend so that he, designer John Sticha, and I can put the finishing touches on the layout for the book. We’re all extremely excited about the pages we’ve been putting together. The presentation of Peter’s photographs in this large-format book is going to be something to see and treasure.
Follow Stance & Speed on Facebook and we’ll be sure to post some snapshots as we’re working. And, of course, don’t forget to pre-order your copy of the book, which is scheduled to arrive early in 2013.
Charlie Morris, author of the Stance & Speed book Ford Drag Team, is one of the coordinators of the 406-427-Lightweight, T-Bolt, and Cammer reunion later this month, on May 31. The reunion is being held in conjunction with the Carlisle Ford Nationals that run through June 3, 2012.
Charlie will have books for sale and signing, along with noted Ford drag racers Al Joniec, Ed Terry, John Healey, Earl Wade, Bill Holbrook, Mike Gray, and Hubert Platt. Want to meet some of your Ford drag racing heroes? Head over to Building G and the adjacent lot, which is the old tractor dealership adjacent to Gate 1.
Welcome to the new Stance & Speed website. First, apologies for the site being down for a while. Unfortunately the old site needed to be deleted and rebuilt from scratch. I’ve taken the opportunity to simplify things a bit.
It will take some time to get all of the author bios and book information in place here; your patience is appreciated. In the meantime, you can order any of our books here, with a simplified checkout procedure that I think you’ll like.
